Meeting Update:
A meeting was held at Serena Hotel, Islamabad with the IMF Team, attended by representatives from FBR and the Boards of Revenue of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The KP delegation was headed by MBR Taxes, Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Shah, with participation from Finance Department KP, Excise, and KPRA.
Key discussion points included:
Issues related to Agricultural Income Tax (AIT) and avenues of support.
Review of previous year’s targets and receipts.
Formulation of the Valuation Table (VT) and its methodology.
Proposals on how to further streamline the VT methodology for improved accuracy and transparency.
