E-Registry — Towards Secure, Transparent & Citizen-Friendly Property Registration
The operationalization of the E-Registry System in Peshawar, Bannu, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, Abbottabad, Swat, Mardan, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Nowshera and Charsadda marks an important milestone in the digital transformation of property registration across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The system will greatly facilitate landowners, buyers, sellers and other stakeholders by making property registration faster, more transparent, secure and traceable. It will reduce paperwork and unnecessary visits to government offices, strengthen the security of registered property documents, safeguard ownership rights, and help minimize the risks of fraud, forgery, manipulation and duplication of records.
This important reform has been made possible through the vision, leadership and continuous efforts of Mr. Zahir Shah, Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, whose commitment to digital transformation and citizen-centric land administration has been instrumental in extending E-Registry services across the province.
Special appreciation and credit are also due to Mr. Syed Abdul Ghafoor Shah, Member Board of Revenue (S&C, Taxes), and Mr. Yasir Hassan, Director Land Records / Inspector General of Registration (IGR), for their sincere efforts, close supervision and continued support in making the province-wide rollout and operationalization of the E-Registry System possible.
E-Registry is not merely a shift from manual to digital registration; it is a significant step towards greater transparency, accountability, security of property rights and ease for the general public.
