SMBR Visits SDLR Project; Briefing on Project Progress and Key Initiatives
Peshawar, 31 December 2025 –
The Senior Member, Board of Revenue (SMBR), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, paid an official visit to the Settlement & Digitization of Land Records (SDLR) Project, where a comprehensive briefing on the project’s objectives, progress, and future roadmap was presented..
During the visit, the Project Director and senior officers briefed the SMBR on the overall scope of the SDLR Project, which aims to establish accurate, transparent, and GIS-based land records through modern survey techniques, digitization, and institutional reforms. The briefing covered key components including field settlement operations, use of advanced survey technologies, digitization of legacy records, establishment of GIS databases, and service delivery mechanisms.
The SMBR was apprised of achievements made so far, ongoing activities in various districts, and challenges faced during implementation. Future plans, including procurement of essential equipment, and capacity building of staff, were also highlighted.
The SMBR appreciated the efforts of the project team and emphasized the importance of timely completion of the project in accordance with approved standards. He stressed that accurate and digitized land records are critical for good governance, transparency, dispute resolution, and socio-economic development in the province. He also issued necessary directions to further streamline processes and ensure effective coordination among all stakeholders.
The visit concluded with an interactive session, during which the SMBR encouraged the project team to maintain momentum and ensure quality outcomes in line with the vision of land governance reforms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
