MBR (Settlement & Consolidation, Taxes) Reviews E-Registry Operations and Public Facilitation at Sub-Registrar Office, Peshawar

Peshawar, 19 December 2025 –

Syed Abdul Ghafoor Shah, Member (Settlement & Consolidation, Taxes), Board of Revenue, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with Mr. Basharat Ahmad, Director Land Records, and Mr. Atta ur Rehman, Project Director E-Stamp, visited the Sub-Registrar Office, District Peshawar today to review the operational performance of the E-Registry (Electronic Registration) System and to assess public facilitation measures at the field level.

During the visit, an interactive session with the Sub-Registrar and office staff was held, focusing on system functionality, workflow efficiency, and service delivery to the general public. The visiting officials were briefed that since the launch of the E-Registry system, no pending or delayed cases have been reported, and all registrations—including sale deeds and powers of attorney—are being processed seamlessly through the digital system in accordance with the prescribed legal and procedural framework.

The team was presented with live system records, completed e-registries, and digitally processed deeds, demonstrating the robustness, transparency, and efficiency of the system. The staff also highlighted the improved turnaround time, enhanced accountability, and facilitation provided to citizens through system-based verification, digital record preservation, and integration with E-Stamping.

Expressing satisfaction over the smooth operations and positive feedback from both staff and the Sub-Registrar, the MBR (S&C, Taxes) appreciated the dedicated efforts of the E-Stamp and E-Registry teams in ensuring effective implementation and high-quality public service delivery. He emphasized the importance of maintaining service standards, system integrity, and citizen facilitation as the E-Registry initiative moves forward.

The visit concluded with encouragement to the field staff to continue their efforts in strengthening digital governance, transparency, and ease of doing business in land registration services across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
