Board of Revenue

The Board Of Revenue of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan is responsible for collecting all tax revenue of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Board Of Revenue is the Controlling authority in all matters connected with the administration of Revenue collection including land taxes, land revenue, preparation of land record and other matters thereto. The ministry of Revenue is the minister responsible for Board of Revenue Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan.

The board is the custodian of the rights of the land holders and is the highest Revenue court in the province with Appellate/Revisional Jurisdiction against orders of subordinate revenue officers/courts including EDOs (Revenue) and Collectors. All Revenue Courts are subject to the general superintendence and Control of the Board of Revenue

  • Planning
  • The entire infrastructure of the Revenue & Estate Department in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is in a dilapidated condition
  • The record keeping facility is also not proper and provision of the said facility is required on urgent need basis
  • There is no mechanism to identify grey areas and to resolve issues in a plausible way
  • In the absence of planning cell, there is no other mechanism to stream line internal monitoring of the planning programs/projects
  • The establishment of planning cell will enhance the efficiency and capability in the scope of revenue related matters through exploration new ways and means which will definitely help to enhance not only revenue collection but growth of revenue department termed as stagnant
  • The BOR is seriously considering to enhance the tax system and to minimize the role of patwari for determination of taxes
  • This Department has to deal with Court matters and Litigation process in civil courts in the province along with cases pending in Peshawar High Court and the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Islamabad and other legal forums at provincial level.
  • Due to non-technical/qualified staff this department has to run with existing ministerial staff which has no law/legal qualification background and faces legal implications to defend the interest of the Government during the litigation process
